Cwm Ifor development
Low Energy, High Impact: Inside the Cwm Ifor Passivhaus Project
The Cwm Ifor development has received funding and support from the Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing Fund to deliver highly insulated, energy-efficient homes, with United Welsh working in partnership with Caerphilly Council and Kingfisher Developments. This exciting project will see the creation of 12 one-bedroom apartments, 4 two-bedroom homes, and 3 three-bedroom houses, all built to Passivhaus principles—an advanced low-energy construction standard designed to significantly reduce a building’s environmental footprint.
By incorporating high-performance insulation and achieving a completely draught-free envelope, these homes will drastically cut heat loss, offering residents greater comfort, lower energy bills, and a sustainable way of living. Kingfisher Developments is proud to play a key role in delivering future-ready housing that supports the Welsh Government’s vision for innovation and sustainability.
